That day comes in everyone's life where we feel like it's the worst day ever. We may have many things to do yet we feel there's nothing to do at that moment. We usually get bored when we are at home for a longer period.
The same situation we have experienced in 2020 when almost the entire world was under lockdown and we all were at the home to keep ourselves safe from the Pandemic. No one can forget that phase as everyone found it as the most difficult time ever.
Coming back to the present time, our life is getting normalized as we are adjusting to the situation. But sometimes the question lies the same. What to do when you get bored?
When you are bored, it becomes difficult to stay focused.
In such a situation, important is to get doing the things that make you feel better.
Apart from that, we have brought some of the suggestions that can help to prevent boredom / overcome boredom and make you feel better.
1. Have a hot water shower
When you feel bored, a great option is to have a hot shower. There are ample benefits of having a hot shower. One of them is, it helps to increase the body temperature and thereby relaxing the body and muscles. This helps in getting the soothing feeling and making you feel better and improve your mood. The presence of advanced technology is a great blessing. It can help you to do the things which were seemed impossible in the past. Like for example, previously there was no option for shopping rather than visiting the market personally. But now, the time has changed. If you feel bored, one of the best options is to check out the things in online shopping. For example, if you have an interest in tech products, you can check out the latest mobiles, their specifications and other gadgets that interest you. Whereas if clothing interests you then checking the latest colourful outfits in fashion and so on can help in making you eliminate boredom.
5. Indulge in memories
Getting bore is always temporary, But for that reason, wasting our precious time is never justifiable. In such a situation, the best is to try doing things that can help in avoiding boredom for a long time.
One such idea to remove boredom or avoid getting bored is to think about the best time you have spent.
For example, look at the Google Photos or pictures you clicked on your mobile with friends or your loved ones. It will instantly take you down the memory lane.
Memories many times make us feel better. It either makes us emotional or refreshes and you feel getting connected with that person.
Recalling the incidents of past helps you to get your mind distracted from the boredom and your brain concentrating on thinking about the time you have spent with that person or how happy you were at that time. We all have that one favourite food whom we will never say no to. In scenario where your mind is stuck on convincing you to not do anything and you getting bored. Try ordering your favourite food online.
Consuming the food you love the most sends "feel good" hormones in other words releasing dopamine. Dopamine plays an important role in how we feel pleasurable, how we think and ultimately our action.

9. Engage yourself in the beauty of nature
When you get bored at home and you feel it's unwanted kind of a feeling that you want to avoid. The best way to make yourself refresh is to get a coffee, sit in the veranda and enjoy the nature's beauty. Am sure this will give you the bestest feeling ever.
There is nothing peace giving then seeing birds flying in the sky, experiencing sunset from your home. When you gaze at the sky, it allows your mind to wander and lose yourself in the beauty of nature.
10. Watch movies
Movies are considered as all time entertaining. Watching movies not only helps you to pass the time but also bringing your mind back on the track. Movies specially which are based on thriller, comedy or horror theme are best to make you forget your current scenario. They are good at involving their viewers in themselves.
If you don't like watching movie because of their lengths, another choice that is available is to open Youtube app and watch the daily vlogs of your vlogger. This can help you feel better.

While writing, I have realized that getting bored is a natural process that happens with everyone of us. But why it happens? May be the real solution lies with ourself.
We have made our life so busy that sometimes we find it difficult to give time for ourselves and our family.
The importance of staying top in competition of achieving everything in life have made us to struggle ourselves hard to an extent that we do tasks that doesn't interest us. We enforce responsibilities that we don't like to do. In short, we are not living the life that we always imagined of. We have compromised many of our wishes in life just to be where we are. And in such a situation, we forget the meaning of "living".
When we keep performing the responsibilities that we have forced on ourselves or we don't like to do, our mind get tired and it leads to procrastinate, lose focus and ultimately getting bored of performing this so called "forced performance".
To avoid getting this feeling, most important is to spend some time for yourself and with your family. Enjoy the moment without thinking about the future.
